So many fantastic cartoons. But everyone seems to have forgotten Spirit. Like wtf. Did y'll never watch spirit?! The red Indian with a Beauty of a Stallion.
"You're playing with the big boys now"... The Prince of Egypt left a mark on my inner child tho'. Also remember loving the story of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I love this piece!!!
"But I think the sleekest form of protest in an oppressive world that tries to make robots and stoic salt statues of us is to laugh in it’s face." 😂For real🤡This was such an amazing read Fames....evoked a lot of emotions.....With adulting and all I felt cartoons were childish😂 with their exaggerations and ridiculous and laughable caricatures but I recently started watching them all over again, starting with some really amazing ones Ne Zha....Smallfoot....Abominable...I watched all 3 on a roll and I realized it was teaching me how to listen and not necessarily to watch, to look past their laughable figures and see the sense and wits they were using😂. I saw Mulan just once when I was a child though, I remember I absolutely loved it, it was novelty to me coz at the time I had never seen a cartoon movie with setting and structure like that....sha... I had forgotten the plot and every every, it was nice to relive once again its awesomeness....and then you brought out parts of it a grown person can relate to. That's just awesome 😍👏🏽 I might go and rewatch it...maybe this time it would stick

...my mom would suddenly start cutting onions in the house and it’d get into my eyes😂😂😂
What kind of yeye coincidence is that
But Amadin, I am surprised you did not make mention of Mr incredible
Although I don't think it was a Disney cartoon
I must say, It was very difficult reading this without drawing images in my mind, you nailed it...
Especially the impression you created about the inner child taken over 🙌

This is beautiful. Mulan is my favourite Disney cartoon too. Here's to more stories from the child in you!
Mulan, Anastasia is a close second. This piece is beautiful.
I'm still smiling... Those were good times
Pocahontas
This was beautiful actually.

You write the way I think. Thanks for making me relive this.
You made me relive my childhood in a matter of minutes
Pocahontas followed by mulan
In no particular order, lion king, mulan and Anastasia. This was a wonderful read
It's scary to see how words were spun in every Disney song: a beautiful feat.
